Suzanne Elizabeth Brasfield passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the age of 62. She was born in Amory March 19, 1956 to the late Nelda Knight and Don Boozer. She loved to travel with friends, spend time on the beach and pick up shells. She was a voracious reader, and she just found her new calling as an actress. Her crowning jewel was decorating the White House for Christmas in 2018. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. In her need to help others, she was an organ donor.
A Memorial service will be 5 PM Wednesday February 13, 2019 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Darian Duckworth and Rev. Kelly Pope officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies of Delta Kappa Gamma. Visitation will be 3-5 PM Wednesday at the church.
She is survived by her husband Monte Brasfield of West Point whom she married in 1979; daughters, Emily Melichar (Scott) of Madison, Sarah Burrell (Jeremy) of Starkville; brother, David Don Boozer of Amory; sister-in-law, Brenda A Boozer of Amory; 3 grandchildren, Jaxon Burrell, Harper Burrell and Sam Melichar; several cousins and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Howard Thomas Boozer; granddaughter, Maxie Melichar.
