Shanda Thompson

Shanda Mae Thompson passed away Tuesday July 29, 2025 at her residence in Starkville at the age of 52. She was born November 7, 1972 to Reabertia 'Robbie' Patterson and to the late James Pettie. She worked in the grocery business for several years.

She is survived by a son, George Thompson III (Payton) of Kenedy, AL; a daughter, Ali Thompson of Starkville; her mother, Robbie Wilbourne of West Point; a brother, Shanye Pettie )Lori) of West Point; 2 step sisters, Lori Schwander (Michael) of Olive Branch, Robbie Miller (Jimmy) of Aberdeen; a step brother, Brian Wilbourne of Madison; nieces and nephews, Taylor and Everett.

She is preceded by her father and her step father, Bobby Wilbourne.

A private family memorial will be held at the McPherson Cemetery.
