Shanda Thompson

Shanda Mae Thompson passed away Tuesday July 29, 2025 at her residence in Starkville at the age of 52. She was born November 7, 1972 to Reabertia (Robbie) Patterson and to the late James Pettie. She worked in the grocery business for several years.

She is survived by a son, George Thompson III (Payton) of Kenedy, AL; a daughter, Ali Thompson of Starkville, MS; her mother, Robbie Wilbourne; 2 step sisters, Lori Schwander (Michael) of Olive Branch, MS, Robbie Miller (Jimmy) of Aberdeen, MS; a brother, Shanye Pettie Lori, MS; a step brother, Brian Wilbourne of Madison, MS; nieces and nephews, Taylor and Everett.

She is proceeded by her father; her step father, Bobby.

A private family memorial will be held at the McPherson Cemetery.
