Rosalyn Jean McTaggart

Rosalyn Jean Schwartz McTaggart passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at NMMC-West Point at the age of 81. She was born September 17, 1933 in Illinois to the late Sophia Clark and Clifford Schwartz. She was very active in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and served in the Ladies Altar Society. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Services will be at 10 AM Friday June 12, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Channappareddy Basani officiating. Burial will follow in West Point Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, John Cunningham, Lucas McTaggart, Matthew McTaggart, Randle McTaggart, Kaleb McTaggart, Benjamin McTaggart, Jeremiah Elliott, Jeb Elliott, Jack Elliott III, William Elliott, Daniel Elliott, Augustine Elliott, Will Lummus, Alex Lummus, John Thomas McTaggart. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM at the church. The body will lie in state 1 hour before service time Friday at the church. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John McTaggart of West Point; 8 children, Debbie Cunningham (Gary) of West Point, Dale McTaggart (Vanessa) of Ft. Pierce, FL, Donald McTaggart (Roxanne), Barbara Elliott (John), Kathy Elliott (Jack), Susan Lummus, (Luke), Carolyn Lummus (David), Tommy McTaggart (Bernadette) all of West Point; her siblings, Eddie Schwartz (Shelley), Janet Lalumendre, Nellie Soper (Jim); her husband’s siblings, Colette Stirling (Mike), Jerry McTaggart (Joanne), Wayne McTaggart, Lois Jacobsgard, Karen Shipley, Linda LaPlante (Bob), Joe McTaggart (Kay), Bob McTaggart (Jan), Nancy Germany (Kirt); 28 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gloria Hubbard; grandson, Kevin McTaggart; granddaughter, Bobbi Jo McTaggart.
