Ronald Reed

John Ronald Reed, age 79, passed away peacefully on July 18 at Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born on November 23, 1946.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dale, who passed on September 3, 2025.

A retired small business owner, Ronald was known for his strong work ethic and the pride he took in his craft. Outside of work, he found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, collecting knives and coins, and spending time with those he loved.

He is survived by his three children: Jonathan Reed and his wife Kristi, Chris Reed and his wife Natalia, and Lindsey Chandler and her husband Grant. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren, who will carry forward his memory and legacy.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Sanctuary Hospice and the many caregivers, friends and neighbors who provided compassion and support during his final days.

The family will have a combined memorial service for Ronald and Dale on September 19, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at their home in Tupelo. The gathering will be informal and people may come and go as they wish.
