Robert Boyd Foster, Jr., 70, a native of West Point, MS, and a resident of Fairhope, AL and summer resident of Newland, NC, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014.
He was a graduate of Mississippi State University. Bob worked for 28 years at Freeport Minerals Company and its successor companies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sara Roberts Foster and Robert Boyd "Tubby" Foster Sr. and his wife of 37 years, Terrie Bryant Foster.
Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia Dragovan Foster and her children Nicholas (Kari) and Taylee Dragovan; dedicated brother, Thomas Wade Foster of Fairhope, AL; and devoted aunts Annie Bess Hinton of Jackson, MS and Sara Moseley Roberts of West Point.
Bobby enjoyed traveling, golf and bridge. He achieved Bridge Life Master and continued to enjoy many tournaments. His employment provided numerous circles of friendships lasting until his death, including those from the days of the Town Site in Port Sulphur, LA and in Tembagapura, Indonesia.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 7 at Robinson Funeral Home in West Point. A Christian service will be held Saturday, November 8 at 10 a.m. at Robinson Funeral Home with a graveside ceremony immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery. A luncheon hosted by the family will follow at Old Waverly, One Magnolia Drive.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Taylor, Eugene Bailey, Ricky Bryant, Nicholas Bryant, Barclay Roberts, Wade Roberts, Jack Sutphen. And Fred Gallaway.
