Robert Bennett

Robert Reid Bennett of Cedar Bluff, MS passed away on Sunday August 3, 2014 at Sanctuary Hospice House at the age of 65. He was born on October 24, 1948 to Mrs. Beatrice Reid Williams and the late John Bennett. He retired from the US Army as a SSG and served in Vietnam. He is survived by his son, Matt Bennett (Nichole) of Columbus, GA; daughter, Amanda Allred (Blake) of Columbus, GA; mother, Beatrice Williams of Cedar Bluff; brothers, Billy Bennett (Evelyn) of West Point, Larry Bennett (Peggy) of Sparta, John Alvin Bennett (Janice) of Coleen, TX, James Bennett (Kathy) of Cedar Bluff; sisters, Dorothy McCall (Tom) of Cusseta, GA, Janice Anderson (Charlie) of Edwardsville, IL; 2 grandchildren, Bennett and Joshua; 7 nephews and 4 nieces. He was preceded in death by his father and his step-father, Tommy Williams. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday August 6, 2014 at Robinson Chapel with Rev. Eddie Brock officiating. Pallbearers will be Joey Morgan, Joey Wright, Roby White, Kenneth McKee, Floyd McKee, Kim Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be William McKee, Jimmy McKee, Buddy Wilson, David Kelley. Burial will be in Pheba Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday Aug. 5, 2014 from 5-8 PM at Robinson Funeral Home in West Point.
