Phyllis Dawson

Phyllis Annebeth Dawson passed away Wednesday February 12, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle at the age of 89. She was born September 11, 1930 in Hayti, MO to the late Jesse and Jettie Gettings Phelon. She was an elementary English teacher for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Pryor (Roger) of West Point; her granddaughter, Bonnie Caroline Riley and a great-grandson, Jack Dawson Oliver; and an extensive family in Texas. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert J. Dawson, brother Gerald Phelon of Grenada, Mississippi and great granddaughter Jacqueline Ruth Riley. Mrs. Dawson will be transported to Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, TX for funeral services and burial. Services will be Saturday February 15, 2020 at Highland Cemetery Pavilion in Iowa Park, TX.
