Pauline Drane

Miss Polly passed away on Thursday February 28, 2013 at NMMC-West Point at the age of 90. She was born September 25, 1922 in Houston, MS to the late Agnes Larkin and William Jahugh Mixon. She and her husband owned Drane Hardware in Sturgis, MS. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and active in United Methodist Women and a member of the Wesley Wasson Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Eastern Star and on the board of Dugan's Memorial Home and she volunteered at the Henry Clay Retirement Home where she was a resident since 1995. Funeral services will be Saturday March 2, 2013 at 11 am at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Shannon officiating. Visitation will be from 10Am to service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Sturgis Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo Hill of West Point; brother, Tom Mixon (Jo) of Arlington, TX; sister, Margaret Mixon Stafford of Philadelphia, PA; granddaughters, Susan Hill of Memphis, TN, Amy Hill Dickey (Hamilton) of Atlanta, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents; a husband, John James Drane; a brother, Berti Mixon. Memorials may be made to Henry Clay Retirement Home 133 Commerce St. West Point, MS 39773.
