Miriam Martin

 Miriam Lowery Martin passed away Thursday September 7, 2023 at NMMC- West Point at the age of 101. She was born March 28, 1922 in Alabama to the late Herman G. and Vallie Frances Webb Lowery. She got her associate degree in nursing and worked at Methodist Hospital in Hattiesburg for many years.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday September, 9 at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10- 10:45AM at Robinson Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Sam Beatty, Michael Martin, Zachary Martin, Jimmy Harris, Micah Martin, Charlie Daigle.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Cantrell of West Point, Barbara Martin of Long Beach, MS; son, Michael Martin of Pass Christian; sister, Lois Leigh of Leland, MS; numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred C. Martin; son, Fred Martin Jr; 5 sisters and 1 brother.
