Leona Blansett

Leona Mae McMullin Blansett passed away Tuesday July 11, 2023, at her residence in Golden, MS at the age of 74. She was born August 10, 1948 in West Point. She graduated from West Point High School in 1966. She then graduated from Hinds Community Nursing Program in 1968. She worked many years as a nurse caring for her patients. She was a counselor at CBN 700 Club for many years. She was a devout Christian and always sweet and kind with a smile on her face. 

A private Graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in West Point.

She is survived by her son Homer Blansett and his wife Angela; her grandchildren, Darbie Leigh Blansett, Logan Storm Blansett; her great grandchild, Kilian Bradley Blansett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Homer Blansett Sr whom she married in 1968; her daughter Tammy Lynn Blansett.
