John Cohea

 John Michael Cohea, 59, passed  away on April 30, 2022 at the UMMC in Jackson, MS.  He was born on June 22, 1962 in Clay County to parents Adley Cohea and Louise (Ward) Cohea. He had lived in Nettleton for the past twenty years. He was a former engineer on a tow boat. He enjoyed spending time with his family and he also enjoyed making knives.

A Memorial service will be held 6 PM Friday May 6, 2022 at Siloam Baptist Church. Visitation with friends and family will be 5-6 PM Friday at the church.

He is survived by his wife Angela Cohea of Nettleton; one daughter, Layla Young of Nettleton; one son, Dakota Fierro-Nunez of Nettleton; one brother, Wayne Cohea (Martha), two sisters, Linda Bigham (Royce), Janice Wilson (Donnie),  grandson, Tatum Young - his little buddy and partner in crime, four step-children, ten grandchildren, nine great -grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Terry Cohea.
