James Elliott McLemore

James Elliott McLemore passed away Saturday December 9, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle at the age of 83. He was born August 22, 1934 in Cedar Bluff to the late Arlin Peeples and James A. McLemore. He was an Elder at First Presbyterian Church and worked at B&W for 33 years as a pipe fitter.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Monday December 11, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Brandon Bates officiating. Visitation will be 1-2 PM Monday at the church. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Williams, Dennis Hannah.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara McLemore of West Point, 4 daughters, Cheryl Kittle of Dickinson, TX, Donna Davis of Jackson, AL, Jan Little of Corinth, Gail McLemore of West Point; 16 grandchildren, Jonathan Kittle, Abigail Yonley, Danielle Davis, Elliott Davis, Joshua Davis, Jeremy Davis, Joel Davis, Ruth Ricks, Caleb Davis, Hannah Dodd, Sarah Davis, Nathan Davis, Kimberly McCaffrey, Sarah Antonelli, Kenny Little, Valerie Batcho; 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Joe Douglas.
