Jack Green, Jr

September 11, 1954 — October 28, 2025

Jack Green, Jr. passed away October 28, 2025 at Diversicare Nursing Home of Amory, MS surrounded by family. Born September 11, 1954 in West Point, MS, he was a miracle child due to an aneurysm who lived 71 years. He was the son of Jack and Mary Nell Green of West Point, Miss. He was a graduate of West Point High School.

"Junior" as he was called had many talents. He enjoyed electronics, gadgets, and knitting. He was a self-taught electronic guru. When someone needed assistance with computers, he was eager to assist with setting-up and repairing technical devices without charging.

His love for gadgets gave him great joy by showing and explaining each one to family and friends. One gadget saved a friend's money from being stolen from her wallet since Junior gave her an anti-theft beeping device that alerted the owner when someone attempted to remove money.

His knitting skills were done with perfection. He paid close attention to details for every item. If his knitting item had a slight imperfection, he would start over. He made scarves and beanies for anyone who admired his work usually with his/her collegiate colors if requested.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents Jack Green, Sr. and Mary Nell McClain Green from West Point, MS.

He is survived by two sisters: Peggy Coleman (Lee) from West Point, MS and Patricia Reynolds (Barry) from Brandon, MS. Five nieces and nephews: Ralph H. Weems, IV from Fulton, MS; Jack Howard Coleman from Dallas, TX; Bonner C. Coleman (Brittany) from Olive Branch, MS; Anna Ruth Barnes (Bradley) from Madison, MS; Mary Katherine Wright (John) from Madison, MS. A great-niece Mary Elisabeth Barnes from Madison, MS.

Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of the burial. There will be a private graveside service with immediate family members. Pallbearers will be Barry Reynolds, Bradley Barnes, John Wright, Ralph H. Weems, IV, Jack Howard Coleman, and Bonner Coleman.

Many thanks to Diversicare Nursing Home of Amory, Gentiva Hospice Care, and Dr. Ned Miller. Special thanks to Curtis Jones and Amanda Stephan of West Point, MS.

Memorials may be made to West Point / Clay County Animal Shelter, 5122 Old Tibbee Road, West Point, MS 39773.
