Harper Orman

Harper Bowen Orman passed away on Thursday May 1, 2014 at NMMC-West Point at the age of 8. He was born on March 23, 2006 in West Point. Services for will be at 2 PM Saturday May 3, 2014 at First Baptist Church in West Point with Rev. Dale Funderburg, Rev. Jeff Shannon and Rev. Wayne Mathis officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Aberdeen. Pallbearers will be the West Point Greenwave coaching staff. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Richard Boyt, Dr. Timmothy Whittle, Dr. Keith Watson, staff at Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital, staff at NMMC-West Point, Priority Health Care and staff. Visitation will be from 12 till 2 PM Saturday May 3, 2014 at the church. He is survived by his mother, Brooke Bowen Orman of West Point; father, Manuel Orman of West Point; grandparents, Howard 'Bud' and Betty Bowen of West Point, Dot Ware of West Point; brothers, Jake Orman of Huntsville, TX, Cooper Orman of West Point; sister, Caroline Eaves of West Point; aunts, Joy Posey (Hal) and Demetra Logan both of West Point; uncles, Donald Ware, Jr. of Ocean Springs, Mark Orman of West Point, Rodney McKnight of Starkville, Ronald McKnight of Memphis. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles Orman, Sr. and Donald Ware. Memorials may be made to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital 2500 N State St. Jackson, MS 39216.
