Georgia Allen

Georgia Louise Allen, 81, of West Point passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025 at Waverly Care Home in West Point, MS. She was born in Houston, MS to the late George and Annie Criddle Phelps on October 10, 1943. She married her husband, Thomas Earl Allen Sr., on January 29, 1960. She enjoyed working in her yard and flowerbeds, listening to music by her favorite artist, Freddy Fender, reading from her collection of John Grisham books, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Debbie Hatfield, and grandson Jason Hatfield.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Velez of Millington, TN; son, Thomas Earl Allen Jr (Kim) of Drummonds, TN; sisters, Bertha Earnest of Okolona, MS and Nell Duke of Amory, MS; two granddaughters, Mamie Easley (Charlie) of Starkville, MS and Macie Gore (Trent) of Maben, MS; and three great grandchildren, Lucie Easley, Tinslee Gore, and Archie Easley.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
