Ethel Walker Gibson

Ethel Walker Gibson passed away Thursday September 15, 2016 at the Windsor Place in Columbus at the age of 96. She was born May 10, 1920 to the late Willie Phillips and James Walker. She was a member of First Baptist Church and she was a beautician for many years. Funeral Service will be graveside Monday September 19, 2016 at 11 AM at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Dale Funderburg officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Phyfer, Robert Phyfer, Nick Phyfer, Tyler Gibson, Billy Gibson, Whitney Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Ray.Visitation will be Monday 9-10:30 Am at Robinson Funeral Home. She is survived by her sons, Bob Gibson (Jane) of Wilmington, DE, Bill Gibson (Carol) of West Point, Eddie Gibson (Karen) of Greensboro, NC, John Gibson of Ridgeland; daughter, Marcia Phyfer of West Point; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister; Edith Walker;sister, Elizabeth McGaugh; brother, Jimmy Walker; and her husband, Woodrow Wilson Gibson.
