Elizabeth Montgomery

Elizabeth “Libby” Jones Montgomery passed away Tuesday June 21, 2016 at her residence at the age of 56. She was born in Cleveland, MS July 2, 1959 to the late Hattie Mae Weatherly and Robert Lewis Jones. She received her Master’s Degree from Miss State University and she had her Enrolled Agents License. She worked at H&R Block for 22 years as a tax preparer and retired from Miss State University after 38 years. Funeral Service will be Friday June 24, 2016 at 10 AM at Robinson Chapel with Rev. Chris Layton officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Dylan Davis, Cody Davis, Jerimie Cliett, Michael Doss, Brian Labonte, and Mathew Overlease. Visitation will be Thursday 5-7 PM at Robinson Funeral Home. She is survived by her husband, James “Pete” Montgomery of West Point; sons, Jim Montgomery and Josh Smith (Mandy), both of West Point; daughter, Jennifer Prewitt (Robert) of Brandon; brothers, Robert Jones of Beulah, MS, Oliver “Coot” Jones of Tupelo; sister, Rebecca Overlease (Steve) ; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
