Delores Walls

Delores Estelle Walls, 75, of West Point, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at NMMC in West Point. 

She was born on February 20, 1948, to the late Clifton and Audrey Mae Tate Foster. She was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God in West Point. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Espada, and a brother, Charles Foster. 

She was employed at Big Yank in West Point for 20 years, and she was the co-owner and operator of Granny’s Frame Shop in West Point, for many years. In addition, she was caregiver to her father-in-law for 11 years before his death. Truly, she was the “wife of noble character” described in the Book of Proverbs, Chapter 31.  She never missed an opportunity to bless both family and strangers with her hospitality and homemaking skills.  She served her church faithfully and had a blanket ministry that touched many lives. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Robinson Chapel in West Point, with Rev. Jerry Allen and Rev. Wayne Mathis officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home. 

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Leslie Walls, Jr., of West Point; two daughters, Carla Ward (Roy) of Tupelo, and Christy Allen (Jerry) of West Point; two sons, Jerry “Bubba” Pee, Jr. (Catina) of Vernon, AL, and Jason Pee (Andi) of Saltillo; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Peggy Fulgham (Rodney) of West Point. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Wooten, Colin Wooten, Ken Duckworth, Scott Duncan, Allen Duncan and Roy Cox. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Gospel Lighthouse PCG, Dr. Glisson, ICU Staff at NMMC in West Point, and the staff at Maben Medical Clinic.
