Dale Reed

Priscilla Dale Carmack Reed, 76, of Tupelo, MS passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice after a long battle with cancer.

Dale was born on January 31, 1949, in Ripley, Tennessee, and grew up in Curve, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Jessie “Shep” Carmack and Louise Ball Carmack.

After retiring, she especially enjoyed tending to her flowers and garden. She was an active member of Oakhill Community Church.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Ronald Reed, her three children, Jonathan Reed (Kristi), Chris Reed (Natalia), and Lindsey Chandler (Grant); her sister, Patsy Morris; and her ten beloved grandchildren, Amber Green, Riley Reed, Triston Reed, Charlie O’Hara, Isabella O’Hara, Josh Chandler, Grace Chandler, Taylor Chandler, John Colin Chandler, and Jackson Chandler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie “Shep” Carmack and Louise Ball Carmack; her sister, Betty Jo Tindall; and her brother, Reg Carmack.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Dale's life. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Sanctuary Hospice for their compassionate care during her final days.
