Clifton S. Miller, Jr., 83, of West Point passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014. He was born September 26, 1931 at Louisville, KT to the late Susan Bradshaw and Clifton S. Miller. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ella Tatum (Tammy) Miller in 1954. He was founder of/President of fisher Marine, INC. The manufacturer distributed sport fishing boats throughout North America. Fisher Marine was acquired by Brunswick Corp in 1988. Mr. Miller received an MBA Degree, University of Virginia, Darden School in 1958. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation in West Point and participated in many Lay-Member responsibilities. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a former member of the West Point Rotary Club and was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. At various times he served on the board of Directors of the Housing Authority, Clay County medical Center and the Henry Clay SR Citizens Committee of the Methodist Church. His hobby was voluntary participation in community construction projects. Included were the Clay County Hospital, the Physician Clinics on Medical Center Drive, the Episcopal Parish Hall and Rectory, Renovation of Ellis Clinic and restoration of the Henry Clay Hotel. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Randolph Corey Miller. They were married at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Mountain Brook, AL on June 22, 1956. Other survivors include a son, Clifton S. Miller, III (Catherine) of Denver, CO; Daughter, Elizabeth Randolph Miller Hite (Glen) of Birmingham, AL; sister, Joan Egan (Joe) of Clemson, SC; 4 grandchildren, Bennett and Eli Miller, Tatum and Anderson Hite. A memorial Service will be 1:30 PM Saturday December 6, 2014 at the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation.
