Charles “Charlie Ray” Kornegay, age 59, passed away on December 3, 2025, at his residence.

Born on April 22, 1966, in Nashville, Tennessee, Charlie was a devoted son, father, husband, and friend. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of more than 20 years, Dianne Kornegay, whom he loved dearly.

Charlie leaves behind two daughters, Jessica Maddox (Corey) of Berry, Alabama, and Chelsey Curtin of Demopolis, Alabama. He was also a loving stepfather to four: Renee Harvey (Bubba) of Drew, Mississippi; Roxie Campbell (Shawn) of Flint, Michigan; Charlie Thomas Jr. (Christie) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; and Chris Thomas of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; his parents, Charles and Lula Kornegay of West Point, and by his siblings: Ann Gulsby (Sam) of Tuscaloosa; William Sullivan of West Point; Teresa Dove of Flowery Branch, Georgia; and Jimmie Sue Kornegay of West Point; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who deeply cherished him.

Charlie was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his passion for hunting and bass fishing, and the gentle kindness he showed to everyone he met. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be 1 PM Saturday December 13, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church 10167 Darracott Rd Aberdeen, MS 39730. Robinson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
