Charles Stafford

Charles Lewis Stafford, Sr. passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Rush Specialty Hospital in Meridian at the age of 82. He was born September 8, 1930 in Clay County to the late Ellie Mae Shirley and Henry C. Stafford. He retired from B&W with 40 years of service as a weld specialist. He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Funeral services will be Friday August 9, 2013 at 11 am at Siloam Baptist Church with Rev. Doran Henry officiating. Burial will follow in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 pm at Robinson Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 am Friday at the church. Pallbearers will be Marty Stafford, Gabe Stafford, Dale Stafford, Richie Stafford, Larry Stafford, Bob Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be Men's Sunday School Class at Siloam Baptist Church and fellow workers at B&W. He is survived by his wife, Margurite Edwards Stafford, whom he married 62 years ago; sons, Lewis Stafford (Martha Gail) of West Point, Cliff Stafford (Cathy) of West Point, Mark Stafford (Beverly) of West Point, Steve Stafford (Venessa) of Biloxi; brother, Robert Earle Stafford of West Point; sister, Mary Evelyn Johnson of Savannah, GA; 13 Grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
