Caroline Frasca, 51, died Monday October 5, 2026 after being struck in a head-on vehicle collision.
Carol, as she was known to friends and family, was born and raised in The Philippines in 1975. She grew up in dire poverty, yet earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education. She was an elementary-school teacher in The Philippines before spending 13 years as an administrator at Assumption College there.
Carol was also a lay missionary in The Philippines. She served for many years with the Associate Missionaries of the Assumption, a religious order founded by St. Marie-Eugenie of Jesus. Carol was a Catholic, with a deep devotion to Jesus and the Rosary. She attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in West Point.
She emigrated to the United States in 2013 and married Dr. Ralph Frasca, a university professor and department chair, in 2014. Their daughter Hannah was born in 2019 and is now a 2 nd grader at Oak Hill Academy in West Point. The Frasca family resides in Columbus.
Other survivors include brother Christopher Jaranilla, and sisters Catherine Alleta and Criselyn Encarguez, all of Iloilo, Philippines. Carol is pre-deceased by her father, Rogelio Jaranilla, her mother, Candelaria Jaranilla, and five unborn children.
A funeral mass will be 11 AM Monday October 12, 2026 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Binh Nguyen officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be 9:30-11 AM Monday at the church. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ralph Frasca, Brian Bishop, George Wolanek, Bill Frosch, Darrell Driver, John Pate. Robinson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
