Billye W. Maharrey Billye Wayne Maharrey died September 11, 2020. He was born May 14, 1934 to the late Huye Lemon Maharrey and Mildred Lucille Inmon. He joined the US Army right out of High School and served 22 years. He served in Vietnam and the Korean wars. After retiring from the military he worked at Big Yank, then drove a truck for the casket company, and then worked at the Country Club. He was a Shriner and a member of the West Point Lodge #40, and his favorite thing to do was driving kids to the Shriner’s Hospital. He is survived by his son, Cody Maharrey (Ashley) of Ripley; daughters, Alisa Cliett (Bobby), Sheila Fulgham (Rocky), Heather Bohon (Danny) all of West Point; sister, Ella Kay Perkins of Pontotoc; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and H.C. Bailey of Lake, MS; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Louise Maharrey; 2 grandsons, Adam Rane Bohon, and Cameron Rane Bohon; 4 brothers and a sister. A Funeral service will be 2 PM Monday September 14, 2020 at Robinson Chapel with Rev. Wayne Mathis and H.C. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Robbie Cliett, Jerimie Cliett, Nicholas Bohon, Mitchill Bohon, Quentin Adams, Billy Scott. Honorary pallbearers are Valerie Miller with Sanctuary Hospice, Dr. Brett Miller, Nickie, Loretta, and Mary at Waverly Care Home, his 3 girls, Precious, Tinkerbell, and Sheffel. Visitation will be 1:30 to service time Monday at Robinson Funeral Home. All family and friends are invited, but due to Covid-health concerns the family understands if you choose not to attend. Memorials can be made to Shriners Hospitals of Children (shrinershospitalsforchildren.org) or charity of your choice.
