Billie Fowler

December 30, 1954 — November 30, 2023

Billie Lind Fowler, 68, of West Point, MS, passed away in Amory, MS surrounded by her loving family on November 30, 2023.

She was born in Memphis, TN in 1954 to William Floyd and Annie Ruth Lind, who loved her unconditionally. She attended Sheffield High School before going to work at American Can Company in Memphis, TN.

Billie met the love of her life, Mike in 1968 while attending Sheffield High School. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married after graduating high school in 1974, Memphis, TN.

Billie and Mike couldn’t wait to start a family of their own, and their children meant the world to them.

Though she loved crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her family, Billie’s favorite role was that as a grandparent. She treasured her time with their grandkids and loved being their Nana, never failing to tease them or smother them with love. She leaves behind four grandchildren; Allison and Leslie Fowler of Huntsville, AL; Emily Rosenkrans (Chris) of New Market, AL; and Cheyenne Fowler of West Point, MS; two step grandchildren; Haley Rich of Rogersville, AL; and Rylee Rich of Florence, AL.  She also leaves behind two step great-grandchildren; Itlie Ann and Maevi Rich of Rogersville, AL.

She had a soft spot for her furry friends, treating each and every one like a child.  She leaves behind her sweet loving Pomeranian, Levi.

Billie was passionate about being a part of the community and serving each and every one of her customers at Lit’l Rascals. Owning Lit’l Rascals for many years gave her great joy and she will miss her “coffee club”.

Billie will always be remembered for her love for her community and fellow man and the way that she was always able to talk to anyone and never met a stranger. We’ll always imagine hearing her say “you Turkey-Butt and Everythang” one more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend. All will miss Billie every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Lind; her mother, Annie Lind; her grandson, Brian Fowler; and her daughter-in-law, Christi Fowler. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Mike Fowler, three sons, Will (Stephanie), Allan (Amy), and Matthew Fowler; and her loving sister, Barbara Lind.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday December 3, 2023 at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Yarber officiating.  Burial will follow on December 3, 2023 at Greenwood Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Will Fowler, Allan Fowler, Matthew Fowler, Chris Rosenkrans, Wes Smith, Jaimy Towery, A J Jones, Cole Chandler. Honorary pallbearers are Gilmore Memorial Hospital staff in ICU, Dugan Memorial Home staff, Dr. Janee Steele and staff at  West Point Family Medical Clinic.
